Graveyard Pudding Cups

Dirt cups are a Halloween classic, and this version gets a little upgrade: Chocolate MycoProtein whisked right into the pudding for about 10g of plant protein per cup. Then come the fun parts: cookie “dirt,” gummy worms and a cookie tombstone on top.
They take about 15 minutes to put together and 30 minutes to chill. That makes them a great make-ahead dessert for a Halloween party, a classroom treat or a family movie night.
Why you’ll love it
- No baking. Just whisk, layer and chill.
- Great with kids. Little hands can crush the cookies, write RIP and hide the worms.
- Make ahead. Build them in the morning and they’re ready by trick-or-treat time.
Tips and swaps
- Use cold milk. Dairy milk sets the firmest. If you use plant milk, choose a thicker one like oat or soy and give it a little longer in the fridge.
- Whisk the scoop first. Mixing the MycoProtein into the milk before the pudding mix keeps it smooth and clump-free.
- Easy crumbs. Put the cookies in a zip-top bag and roll over them with a rolling pin.
Make it a full graveyard
Make it in one big glass dish instead of cups, line up a row of cookie tombstones, and add a few candy pumpkins or a crushed green cookie “grass” patch. Set out spoons and watch it disappear.
Ingredients
- 2 cups cold milk (dairy sets firmest)
- 4 scoops (80g) Chocolate MycoProtein
- 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
- 8 chocolate sandwich cookies, crushed
- 4 oval cookies, for tombstones
- Gummy worms, for topping
- Writing icing (optional)
Steps
- Whisk the MycoProtein into the cold milk until smooth.
- Whisk in the pudding mix for 2 minutes, then let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
- Spoon the pudding into 4 cups and cover each with crushed cookie dirt.
- Write RIP on the oval cookies with icing and push one into each cup as a tombstone.
- Add a gummy worm or two and chill for 30 minutes before serving.
